I love Ebay and have used it religiously until recently! I received an email from them letting us know that our account was being suspended indefinitely?! Without contacting us via email, phone, or anything they just cancel all of our listings and inform us that we are no longer allowed to buy or sell on Ebay until the issue is resolved…. so today I emailed them to ask for an explanation and they tell us the following:
Several years ago we think that your account could have been linked to another account that we suspended and as such we need to investigate things before you are able to be a member of the community again. I said I thought it would have been nice to know this as we had active bids and listings on the site and think that it adversely affects perception of our username on Ebay. They replied that this was an automated software issue and that I needed to send them all sorts of information.
This makes me think, wow, with everything going on in the marketplace now between Ebay/Amazon/Overstock there is a reason why many sellers are abandoning Ebay for other marketplaces. No longer can a seller leave a negative or even neutral feedback for buyers, fees are rising, and as evidenced personally the customer service is severely lacking! When I think of Ebay I think of a community and a company that used to be very very dedicated to both buyers and sellers, but I truly wonder what the future of Ebay is and who the new kid on the block will be in the coming years…..
I will keep you posted on what transpires but my feeling is to move on altogether; a shame considering how much I have enjoyed the company over the years!

Everyone has the same complaint and more. The new feedback system is in the favor of the buyer. I had a buyer leave a NEG and give me all zeros after 2 1/2 months! The complaint was that she thought a print was fake and it she said “you forgot to number it you con!” I emailed her and said a printers proof is not numbered and even after leaving me that NEG I would refund, she did not reply. I looked at her feedback and seen she was leaving similar negs for others.
I always have a back-up (buyer) ID and use it as a seller ID in a situation like this and then open a new buyer ID.
