How Cute? Very!

This is our youngest Pug and company mascot Sushi…aka (Mr. Pajama Pants, Sush, Pajama, Clambone, etc. etc…)  As an aside it is always funny when people ask me what I think a good dog name would be; because there is no such thing as just one name for a dog.  They become such a part of your daily life and life in general they get nicknames too!  

Sushi is a purebred Pug and had a rough start in life, when he was just a baby he slipped a disk and had to spend about 2 months recovering; this was a sad time for all of us!  After this brief problem time, he turned into one of the most exciting and personable dogs that I have every seen (I’m sure everybody says that-just like everyone’s kids are the smartest or the best at whatever they do, but I really think of Sushi as a person) As such, I would describe him as a wild man!  He beats to the tune of his own drum, loves to wrestle, obviously from his picture he loves to eat, and he absolutely adores his older brother Espy.  He is my/our inspiration because he ALWAYS has a positive outlook and embraces new things with amazing courage and curiousity. 

His favorite things in life are his parents, brother, tripe, bully sticks, treats in general, and sleep.   In addition, he is a great company taste tester…

My wife used to come home all the time with expensive bills from our local pet store for all sorts of dog related items.  We have two very well taken care of Pugs at home, who want for very little, but these bills kept nagging at me.  Out of all of the treats and chews that we gave our Pugs (Sushi and Espy) bully sticks seemed to always be their favorites.  When we paid $10 for a braided bully stick for each of them I knew that there had to be a better way! 

I started touching bases with people in the industry from suppliers, to existing vendors, to our friends and family to see if they thought that this would be a good idea.  It became my realization that there really wasn’t a place to get these prized chews inexpensively.  This is how www.bestbullysticks.com was born, and after several years doing it I have to say that it is the most rewarding thing that I have accomplished in life.

I am proud to offer our customers a low cost alternative to pet stores and even expensive online stores without compromising on the quality of the product.  As we have continued to age and grow we consistently try to introduce new and exciting all natural dog chews and treats.  

I plan on using this blog to not only talk about our business but also our daily adventures with our two spirited “furry” friends!
